Kim W. Bertschi

Kimberly W. Bertschi began her legal career in 1990 as an associate with Constangy, Brooks & Smith, a law firm specializing in labor and employment law, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. During her tenure with that firm, Ms. Bertschi represented employers in various aspects of labor and employment law, including union elections, employee grievances, EEOC investigations and litigation involving current or former employees. Ms. Bertschi frequently advised Human Resources managers with respect to employment policies, and reviewed or updated employment handbooks and policies to ensure compliance with relevant federal and state regulations. Her practice included drafting and enforcement of employment contracts, including covenants not to compete, as well as litigating employment-related claims in federal and state courts. Ms. Bertschi remained with that firm until 1995, when she resigned to raise her children.
Ms. Bertschi resumed the practice of law in 2015. She is currently employed by the law firm of McRae Bertschi & Cole LLC. As an associate of the Firm, Ms. Bertschi focuses her practice on pre-litigation investigations, legal research and writing, document review and discovery.
Ms. Bertschi is an Atlanta native. As an undergraduate, she attended the University of Georgia, and received a degree in Journalism in 1987. Ms. Bertschi attended the University of Georgia School of Law as a Vasser Woolley Scholar and served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review. Ms. Bertschi graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law magna cum laude in 1990 and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
